Hussey Seating Company seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive lifecycle management for telescopic seating products. You will lead design documentation, BOMs, and testing while coordinating with quality, procurement, and suppliers.

The role includes cost-reduction initiatives, product enhancements, and validating performance through analyses and prototyping. You will leverage 3D modeling (AutoCAD Inventor), ERP/PLM tools, and MS Office to support release processes, CAPA activities, and

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license or desire to achieve is a plus.
• 2–10 years of related experience preferred.
• 3D modeling experience at mid to high level.
• Experience with AutoCAD Inventor is a plus.
• Prior structural design experience is a plus.
• Experience using rapid prototyping and product testing.
• Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Occasional short travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Life cycle manage telescopic seating line products through maintenance, enhancement, and value engineering initiatives.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, drawings, BOMs, test data, manuals, and related docs.
• Lead product and labor cost reduction initiatives in support of cost reduction goals.
• Provide technical field support on use, performance, quality and safety.
• Collaborate with Quality and Customer Service on CAPA plans.
• Work with Procurement and vendors to resolve sourcing issues.
• Design and develop product line enhancements / new line extensions from concept to release.
• Conduct analyses, calculations, testing to ensure performance requirements.
• Support team as technical reviewer and contribute to problem solving and planning.
