Job summary

Emerson seeks a Sustaining Engineer to support and improve existing Professional Tools products. You will address field concerns, drive quality improvements, and reduce costs through thoughtful engineering solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform root-cause analysis, and manage design changes in PLM and ERP systems. A mechanical engineering degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to write reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to field complaints and production issues related to existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis of quality and performance issues.
• Define process or design improvements to address product concerns.
• Coordinate and/or perform testing to validate improvements.
• Review and approve or decline deviation requests from production.
• Evaluate and approve or decline PPAP submissions for new parts or suppliers.
• Ensure accurate implementation and documentation of engineering changes in PLM and ERP systems.
• Support sustainability initiatives aligned with Emerson goals.
