Job summary

OPW, a Dover Corporation business, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design custom fluid transfer equipment for onsite Hamilton, OH operations. You will produce CAD layouts, develop BOMs and support manufacturing and customers with technical guidance.

The role requires a BS in engineering, proficiency in Creo/ProE, Windchill and AutoCAD, and experience with piping designs and pressure vessels. Strong math, communication skills and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME/BSMET).
• Experience using Creo/ProE, Windchill and AutoCAD or comparable software.
• Experience with piping design, pressure vessels or fluid transfer equipment.
• Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical knowledge to design custom products for fluid transfer equipment and layout.
• Provides advanced CAD designs for customer specifications and standards; supports manufacturing.
• Creates detailed designs and layouts of fluid transfer systems to customer specs.
• Develops BOMs and provides customer support on technical issues.
• Coordinates and communicates with other departments; leads quotes for custom equipment.
• Trains new hires for quoting and coordinates quotes with outside engineering.
• Obtains quotes from outside vendors for use in custom design.
