What you will do

Johnson Controls is hiring! As a Sustaining Electrical Engineer, you'll focus on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware - including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. Your work will help ensure long-term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

This is a hybrid position based at our Fire Detection Engineering facility in Westford, MA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the office, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available.

• Support product lifecycle activities, including component obsolescence and redesigns
• Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standards

What you will need

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
• 3+ years experience in embedded hardware design and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)

Preferred

• Experience with low-power analog circuit design
• Knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC converters
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems

Salary Range

SALARY RANGE : $85,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
