Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in cement production at our Portland Cement Plant in CO. The 10-week, paid internship begins June 1, 2027, with on-site work and a focus on process optimization and sustainability.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers to monitor processes, analyze data, and contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives, with a final executive presentation of learnings.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong academic performance with solid engineering principles.
• Willingness to work at multiple sites and travel as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Energetic, proactive, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optimizing cement production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor and control process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
• Support maintenance and production operations with data-driven insights.
• Participate in sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint.
• Collect and analyze data related to production quality and environmental performance.
• Assist in testing and inspecting raw materials and finished products.
• Help implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures.
• Present learnings and contributions to executives at internship end.
