Job summary
Billerud NA is seeking a process engineer/supervisor to drive efficient production of paper machine or pulping operations in a mill setting. You will lead safety, data interpretation and technical support for operators to improve quality and reduce costs.
Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in paper/industrial roles, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. On-site role with opportunities for career growth and competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pulp paper science, chemical engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years of related paper/industrial experience as a process engineer or supervisor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and teamwork.
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven troubleshooting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Fully support the mill safety programs.
- Provide technical expertise in daily unit operations and process improvement.
- Deliver high-quality process support for product quality and productivity.
- Coordinate and implement activities to resolve equipment problems and costs.
- Assist with machine shutdowns and startup.
- Provide on-call and weekend duty coverage in rotation.
- Gain understanding of unit operations, costs and capital projects.
