Job summary

MECCA is seeking a Packaging Sourcing Specialist in Richmond, VA to lead end-to-end development from concept through to production. You will collaborate with Product Development, Design, Compliance, Brand, Supply Chain and external suppliers to deliver premium, sustainable packaging that meets quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in packaging within beauty/FMCG, strong materials knowledge, and a passion for innovative, environmentally conscious packaging

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging development within beauty, FMCG or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and supplier management.
• Experience managing multiple development projects with exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
• Understanding of packaging testing, quality and regulatory requirements, including TGA and global compliance.
• A passion for sustainable packaging, circular design and material innovation, paired with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging development from concept through to launch.
• Partner with Product Development, Design, Compliance, Brand, Supply Chain and external suppliers to bring new products to market.
• Manage packaging testing, technical specifications, artwork approvals and regulatory compliance, including TGA requirements where applicable.
• Champion sustainable packaging innovation by identifying new materials, monitoring emerging legislation and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver premium packaging that reflects brands and sustainability commitments.
