The program rotates between January–August or May–December, with the goal of preparing you for a full-time engineering position. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, and a minimum 2.75 GPA is required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Engineering students with interest in the pulp, paper and packaging industry.
• Minimum 2.75 GPA.
• Three semesters completed before co-op start date.
• Available to work one of two co-op rotations (Jan–Aug or May–Dec).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects by conducting trials and writing trial reports.
• Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups.
• Monitor, assess, and optimize process quality and conditions.
• Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability.
• Reduce environmental impact through engineering initiatives.
• Provide technical support for key departments.
• Utilize problem solving to achieve department objectives.
