Job summary

Compost Crusader, LLC in Milwaukee seeks a full-time Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, warehouse processes, and route planning. The role requires passion for composting, sustainability, and hands-on leadership to manage drivers, warehouse staff, and contractors.

You will implement SOPs, maintain equipment, optimize routes, and plan for growth with the CEO and Head of Operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather.
• Willingness to handle unusual mechanical circumstances.
• Compliance with drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage driver and warehouse staff schedules, including hours and time off approval.
• Manage warehouse processes and SOPs; train staff on SOPs.
• Oversee maintenance of vehicles and machinery; coordinate with 3rd party contractors.
• Dispatch drivers on routes and optimize routing in real time.
• Communicate with compost sites and plan distributions with members and recipients.
• Assist in hiring for drivers and warehouse staff with Head of Operations.
• Plan and forecast region needs with CEO and Head of Operations; fill in on routes when needed.
