Job summary

Buro Happold Limited is seeking a motivated Mechanical Intern to join our team and contribute to innovative, energy‑efficient building design. You will work with architects and engineers to develop HVAC solutions and gain hands-on experience in a global sustainability context.

The role supports multidisciplinary projects, offers hybrid working options, and provides exposure to BIM tools and real‑world client projects to help you grow professionally while shaping communities and addressing

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering; related fields encouraged.
• Coursework in mechanical/HVAC design, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Internship experience at an engineering-related firm preferred.
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas clearly.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Embrace latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability.
• Assist performing detailed HVAC engineering building services design and calculations.
• Take part in the preparation of technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
• Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and with senior engineers.
• Ensure service and project work are carried out to an excellent standard.
