Job summary
Arup seeks a Mechanical Engineer Intern to contribute to HVAC design and building services across healthcare, commercial and data center sectors. You will support analyses, modelling and documentation in Revit MEP while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance building systems.
Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering with a focus on sustainability, energy modelling and CFD.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
- Nice to have HVAC design fundamentals and building services engineering.
- Familiar with Autodesk AutoCAD, Navisworks, IES VE, Trane Trace, Energy modelling, CFD analysis, Python, MATLAB, Power BI, Dynamo for Revit.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC services within the built environment with emphasis on sustainability.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and consultants on complex buildings.
- Perform engineering analysis and modelling: load calculations, energy analysis, façade thermal analysis, airflow modelling.
- Document system design in Revit MEP and communicate ideas to diverse audiences.
