Babilou Family US in Williston, VT seeks a Teacher Associate to create a safe, nurturing learning space where children explore, learn, and grow through Sustainable Education®. You will design curriculum, guide the teaching team, and model environmentally responsible practices.

As part of our team, you’ll supervise children, engage families, and participate in ongoing professional development. This role emphasizes developmentally appropriate practice, teamwork, and equity in a dynamic classroom.

Qualifications

• Must hold Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three Certificate.
• Or have an associate degree in Early Childhood or related field with 12 months experience with young children.
• Or hold a Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate.
• Or CC Vermont Child Care Certificate with 12 months experience.
• Or 21 college credits with early childhood focus and 12 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education.
• Lead classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility.
• Model best practices and support Assistant Teachers in instructional routines.
• Supervise children during learning activities and maintain safety and positive behavior.
• Engage families through conferences, events, and ongoing communication; support community involvement.

Education

Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three Certificate

Associate degree in Early Childhood / Child or Human Development / Elementary Education or Child and Family Services with 12 months experience

Certificate of Completion from Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program

Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont with 12 months experience

Twenty-one college credits with early childhood or school age focus and 12 months experience
