Job summary

The Episcopal School of Baton Rouge is seeking an Agricultural Consultant to lead and grow our school's agricultural program, collaborating with faculty, students, and community partners to implement sustainable practices.

You will oversee the greenhouse and outdoor garden, organize workshops and field trips, and help integrate agricultural concepts into the curriculum while promoting environmental stewardship and hands-on learning across grades Pre-K–12.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental stewardship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive agricultural program aligned with the school's mission.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate agricultural concepts into the curriculum and support hands-on learning.
• Conduct research and stay updated on current agricultural trends and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to students in agricultural projects and activities.
• Foster relationships with local farmers, businesses, and organizations for real-world learning.
• Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and field trips related to agriculture.
• Manage the school's greenhouse and outdoor garden, including planting and harvesting.
• Educate students on sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and healthy eating.
