Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Position Overview:

As an Agricultural Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our school's agricultural program. This includes working closely with our faculty, students, and community partners to develop and implement innovative and sustainable agricultural practices. You will also be responsible for educating and engaging our students in the importance of agriculture and its impact on our environment and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive agricultural program that aligns with the school's mission and values
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate agricultural concepts into the curriculum and provide support for hands-on learning opportunities
  • Conduct research and stay updated on current agricultural trends and best practices
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their agricultural projects and activities
  • Foster relationships with local farmers, businesses, and organizations to enhance the agricultural program and provide real-world learning experiences for students
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and field trips related to agriculture for students and faculty
  • Manage the school's greenhouse and outdoor garden, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops
  • Educate students on the importance of sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and healthy eating habits
  • Collaborate with the school's marketing team to promote the agricultural program and its impact on the community
  • Monitor and manage the budget for the agricultural program, including purchasing necessary supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural consulting, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental stewardship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Passion for educating and engaging students in agriculture and its impact on our world
