Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking an Agriculture Technician to support grounds, irrigation, horticulture, and crop maintenance across our brewery properties. The role adapts with seasons and project focus, emphasizing sustainability and environmental stewardship.

You will perform planting, irrigation work, greenhouse tasks, and help care for landscapes and natural resources while collaborating with a team in an outdoor, production-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy skills required.
• Experience in horticulture or agriculture preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and machinery (pruners, shovels, rakes, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, tractors, and lifts.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Knowledge of safe loading/unloading equipment.
• Work in all weather conditions, outdoors.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in gardens, fields, and landscape.
• Willingness to learn and perform varied tasks.
• Commitment to sustainability and conservation.
• Driver's license with clean record in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal planting, garden propagation, maintenance, and harvest.
• Maintain grounds and landscape across brewery properties and parking lots.
• Install, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems.
• Perform greenhouse duties including plant starts.
• Tend to natural resources and livestock duties.
• Transport equipment and supplies between sites.
• Emails, safety videos and professional development.
