Job summary

LEGOLAND California Resort is seeking a Waste Management Technician to help the park reach its Zero Waste by 2030. You will collect, transport, and process waste on site, working with a small team to keep operations efficient and environmentally friendly using light trucks and equipment.

This seasonal role requires a high school diploma, a valid Class C license, and strong English communication. Excellent safety training and on-site work are provided as part of a commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Legal eligible to work in the United States.
• Hold a Class C driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of collection, segregation, and disposal of solid waste and recyclable material.
• Operate heavy equipment, such as light duty trucks, trailers, compactors, balers, forklifts.
• Dismantle unwanted equipment and assist in recovery of recyclable materials.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and report hazards.
• Notify Assistant Manager of service interruptions and safety hazards.
• Improve route efficiencies with Assistant Manager.
• Report incidents and property damage promptly.
• Support park operations to meet resort needs.
