Job description

Job Title: Sustainability Waste Coordinator

Location: Stanford, CA

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $31/hr - $35/hr (DOE)

Duties include

• Support waste operations across R&DE properties, including service rightsizing, vendor coordination, waste diversion and monitoring performance.
• Support strategies to reduce landfill waste, increase diversion, and support donation, reuse, and material recovery programs (e.g., Give & Go, surplus donation).
• Track and analyze waste metrics, prepare reports, and identify operational improvements.
• Design and develop signage, outreach, and communication of sustainability programs to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Housing Operations, and other units on operational sustainability needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support R&DE’s sustainability goals.
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience and excellent communication skills
