Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Manager of Sustainability Reporting and Analytics in Phoenix, AZ. This role leads disclosures, drives analytics within business processes, and supports tools to promote growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder communication.

Candidate will guide cross-functional teams, monitor trends, and mentor staff to lift performance and achieve sustainability goals. Strong communication and agile problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of sustainability reporting and accounting, such as carbon accounting or related measures.
• Ability to lead end-to-end project execution, managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with ratings/ranking agencies and associated stakeholders, preferred.
• Experience in waste, transportation, or environmental services industry, preferred.
• Experience in managing data ecosystems and vendors to drive business outcomes, preferred.
• Ability to translate sustainability issues into goals and metrics and garner excitement among stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to diverse stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, grasp new concepts and apply agile problem-solving.
• Familiarity with greenhouse gas accounting and data analytics, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages sustainability disclosures with governance and data controls.
• Integrates sustainability analytics within business processes.
• Supports development of analytical tools to drive growth.
• Monitors progress and collects feedback to stay on goals.
• Serves as a contact for sustainability questions, supporting sales and services.
• Leverages industry knowledge to craft sustainability content for internal and external audiences.
• Monitors reporting trends and updates practices to reflect standards.
• Ensures legal and regulatory compliance with up-to-date guidance.
• Coaches and develops a team, driving performance and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
