Job summary

SCHAEFER PLASTICS NA LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to manage reclaim and warranty processes, support customer and internal teams, and drive environmental initiatives. This role blends logistics, data tracking, and proactive communication to ensure accurate reclamation and timely compensation for recyclable materials.

The position collaborates with Customer Service, Sales, Freight, and Shipping & Receiving, and reports to the Director of Sustainability.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in customer service, logistics coordination, recycling, or a similar field; manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as a direct point of contact for customers submitting reclaim and warranty requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication.
Summarize and report reclaim and warranty activity to the Customer Service and Sales teams monthly.
Assist with administrative tasks that support a seamless customer experience, utilizing Excel for tracking, reconciliation, and report creation.
Build and maintain Excel-based dashboards and reports using formulas, pivot tables, filters, and data validation tools.
Schedule and manage pick-ups and deliveries for large-scale reclaim projects.
Coordinate logistics with recycling partners and internal teams to ensure timely shipments and proper handling.
Track and confirm Proof of Delivery (POD) for every shipment and maintain logs accordingly.
