Job summary

City of Bellevue, Washington, seeks an experienced Conservation and Outreach Program Administrator to lead public outreach, education, and technical assistance for waste reduction, recycling, and water conservation. You will drive community engagement and partnerships to advance the Sustainable Bellevue Plan with a focus on Zero Waste by 2050.

Qualifications

Experience designing public outreach programs in the public sector preferred.
Experience with diverse audiences and community sectors.
Experience managing contracts, grants, budgets, and related reporting.
Ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee citywide outreach, education, and technical assistance for waste prevention, recycling/composting, household hazardous waste, and water efficiency/conservation.
Align programs with the City’s Core Values and Strategic Plans; monitor participation and analyze results for improvements.
Manage contracts, budgets, grants, and vendor relationships to ensure performance and compliance.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, community groups, businesses, and residents; coordinate regional collaborations.
Supervise staff and volunteers; provide briefings to leadership and commissions.
