Job summary

Penn State University is offering a paid student intern position for the 2026-2027 academic year. The intern will assist with coordinating the Undergraduate Mentor Leadership Training Program (UMLTP), supporting leadership development, mentorship training, and community building on the University Park campus.

Responsibilities include recruiting undergraduate mentors, planning workshops and Reflection Circles, handling program communications, tracking participation, attendance and feedback, and

Qualifications

• Be a team player with strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Be a quick learner, able to manage and organize multiple sources of information.
• Have a record of interest in or knowledge about sustainability, environmental science, youth education, and/or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the UMLTP activities and support leadership development, mentorship training, and community building.
• Assist with mentor recruitment and engagement, workshop and Reflection Circle planning, program communications, and other duties as needed.
• Track mentor participation, attendance, feedback, and progress throughout the program.
• Work independently while contributing ideas and engaging with the EnvironMentors team.
• Some weekend availability may be needed for the annual EnvironMentors Symposium on April 24, 2027 and the UMLTP Retreat on May 1, 2027.
