Job summary

Finlays Solutions is seeking a Sustainability Manager for the Supply Chain to lead and drive sustainability initiatives across the global supplier network. The role partners with US, UK, and Kenya teams to embed sustainability strategies and ensure governance through SRM programs.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage training, and report on sustainability pillars. Strong analytics, communication, and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or above; MSc or bachelor’s in science, social science, Agro-Science, or Sustainability/Environment related discipline.
• Strong supplier and supply chain management experience including sourcing and procurement activities.
• Experience developing supplier management programs, standards, and risk training in environmental and human rights areas.
• Strong cross-functional project and program management experience.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; able to work with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver supplier sustainability aspects of SRM onboarding and performance management.
• Support sustainability traceability requirements with Supply Chain and Quality to meet customer demands.
• Develop resources and deliver training across supply chain, quality and procurement teams.
• Participate in supplier engagement activities: visits, audits, reviews, training.
• Coordinate reporting across pillars for USA sites and global stakeholders.

The Sustainability Manager will also be responsible for working directly with the US, UK and Kenyan business to ensure the sustainability strategy is effectively embedded and implemented. This will be achieved by providing a business partner relationship across the Solutions businessThe Sustainability Manager works collaboratively with internal functions and will be comfortable working with global stakeholders at all levels. Ideally with an MSc or bachelor’s degree in science, social science, Agro-Science, or a Sustainability / Environment related disciplineStrong supplier and supply chain management experience including sourcing and procurement related activities.Experience of developing supplier management programs, standards, and risk training in environmental and human rights areasStrong cross-functional project and program management experienceProven understanding of risk management approaches within business and application to value chainStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This includes being comfortable presenting to working groups and key stakeholdersGood stakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex and /or unfamiliar data setsGood commercial and financial acumen with the ability to convey the financial and commercial benefits of sustainabilityGood IT and Systems experience, specifically in relation to reporting and data management tools.
