Job summary

Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid internship at our Home Office. You’ll gain hands-on experience by working with professionals across Communications, Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales, while contributing to sustainability initiatives and data-driven projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environment Studies, Sustainable Food Systems, Sustainable Supply Chain or related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support key stewardship focus areas at Gordon Food Service, such as assessing and reducing environmental impact and minimizing food waste through strategic food donation initiatives and landfill diversion alternatives.
• Support data collection, aggregation, and analysis—including tracking energy usage, waste metrics, and food donation summaries.
• Actively drive internal awareness and team engagement in core stewardship initiatives.
• Shadow jobs across the organization to explore career path potential and participate in mentorship and networking opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's degree pursuit in Sustainability / Environmental Science / Environment Studies / Sustainable Food Systems or related field

In the Sustainability department by:
