Job summary

Gordon Food Service invites you to join a 12-week paid internship at its Home Office. You will gain firsthand experience, receive mentorship, and participate in professional development and networking across North America and Canada.

The program places interns in Learning and Development, offering hands-on work in creating training materials, coordinating events, and contributing to succession planning and performance calibration processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist Learning and Development with creating, editing, formatting, and updating training materials, presentations, and digital modules.
• Help trainers prepare session materials, coordinate event logistics, and collect attendee feedback.
• Prepare data, templates, and notes for performance calibration meetings.
• Support succession planning activities, including updating tracking sheets and pipeline data.
• Engage in mentoring, networking events, and shadowing opportunities to learn across the organization.

Working alongside our Learning and Development team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada. Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:

• Supply Chain
• Sales

Build a Career:

In the Learning and Development department by:

• Helping create, edit, format, and update training materials, presentations, and digital learning modules.
• Working with trainers to support preparation of session materials, coordination of event logistics, and collection of attendee feedback.
• Participating and assisting with preparing data, templates, and notes for performance calibration meetings.
• Participating in GFS succession planning process, including (as needed) updating succession tracking sheets, pipeline data and supporting succession planning business meetings.
