Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Sustainability Engineer Co-op to support the County of San Diego contract from January 2027 to August 2027. You will help measure and reduce environmental impact, support emissions reporting, assess vendor sustainability, and analyze energy usage of AI workloads while building dashboards to track progress toward climate goals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• Current undergrad or graduate student pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, or related field.
• Coursework in greenhouse gas accounting, climate policy, or sustainability metrics.
• Data analysis skills in Excel or Python.

• Measure and reduce the environmental impact of County technology.
