Job summary

Exsurco Medical is seeking a Sustainability & Manufacturing Engineering Co-op in Wakeman, OH, to gain hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing. The role supports product improvement, cost optimization, and process efficiencies, aligning with current business priorities.

The co-op is a full-time, 6-month minimum assignment within Engineering, reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school education and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks software.

Responsibilities

• Lead specific engineering activities and projects.
• Lead manufacturing initiatives and implementation.
• Work with manufacturing to implement operational and sourcing cost saving initiatives.
• Take an active role in projects and continuous improvement activities, including project management responsibilities.
• Develop and complete engineering models and drawings with accuracy.
• Help prepare and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, test protocols, and reports.
• Participate in project meetings and cross-functional team collaborations.
• Promote safety within a manufacturing environment.
