Job summary

North American Construction Services, Ltd. is seeking a Design Engineer to support our Pinson, AL team. The role involves creating models and drawings, researching materials, and coordinating with multiple internal groups to develop robust designs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of mechanical design experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong AutoCAD Inventor and Autodesk Vault skills. The position is full-time and on-site in Alabama.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor and Autodesk Vault; 3D solid modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Create models and drawings of products using specialized software.
• Research new materials and development methods.
• Organize and maintain engineering records.
• Build prototypes and validate designs with design/purchasing teams.
• Prepare Bills of Materials from drawings.
• Ensure components meet industry and business standards.
• Develop layouts using engineering principles and standard designs.
• Coordinate with Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Fabrication and Field Service groups.
• Perform routine engineering tasks and calculations.
• Follow design templates for print sets.
