Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Sustainability Analyst for our NYC office to support the Green Group within the Energy, Sustainability, and Commissioning Services Division. You will work with project managers on green initiatives, assist in pursuing certifications, and analyze sustainability opportunities on local, national, and international projects.

The role offers growth within a technical consulting environment, with LEED-focused responsibilities and collaboration with top real estate developers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in building; sustainability focus is highly desirable.
• LEED GA is required; LEED AP or WELL AP with specialty designation is highly desirable.
• Experience with LEED, WELL, ESG, life cycle analysis, decarbonization is a plus.
• Experience documenting LCA for LEED; OneClick LCA experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical abilities and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams in pursuing building certifications.
• Analyze sustainable opportunities in design and construction of project work.
• Train in areas related to sustainability/LEED activity.
• Document and maintain well written reports on project activity.
• Perform research on emerging concepts in Sustainability.
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with management teams.
• Provide cross-functional support to meet client needs and timelines.
• Maintain detailed documents from proposal through completion.
• Present project related technical information to design teams.
• Occasionally present white papers/case studies to internal teams.
• Attend in-house seminars and team meetings; maintain utilization levels.
