Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. in New York is seeking a Sustainability and Energy Intern to join our Energy, Sustainability, and Commissioning Services Division.

You will gain hands-on exposure to high-performance building projects, supporting energy analysts, sustainability analysts, and project managers on local, national, and international assignments. You will learn hygrothermal analyses, energy codes, and green building certifications while working with a team that has completed over 500 LEED projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Architecture, Engineering, Physics, Sustainability, or related field.
• Interest or passion for green building and energy efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with energy analyses and sustainability research for projects.
• Support building certifications (LEED, WELL) and related documentation.
• Help organize project documents, drawings, and reports.
• Contribute to hygrothermal analyses and energy code issues training.
