Job summary

Gabriel Ride Control LLC, part of MAT Holdings, seeks an experienced prototyping engineer to support design and engineering of suspension products. You will fabricate, modify, and test prototype samples, using machine shop tools and precision measurement to meet specifications.

You will read engineering drawings, set up equipment, and perform QC checks, collaborating with internal teams and customers. A strong background in fabrication, GD&T, and hands-on vehicle development is required to excel

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machining principles and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Proficient in precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Strong fabrication skills with machine shop equipment (MIG/TIG welding, band saws, lathes, mills).
• Team player with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety and customer service.
• Experience interpreting prints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform prototype builds from requests to reports.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and finishes during machining.
• Set up and operate machine tools to perform precision prototyping operations.
• Welding, assembly, and disassembly of prototype units.
• Test, inspect, and measure completed units to ensure conformance.
• Provide engineering support to customers and internal departments.
