Job summary

SRAM is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our Product Development team in Colorado Springs, CO. You will design and develop high-quality suspension components from concept through mass production, using Creo Parametric and standard engineering practices.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, documentation, and proactive risk management. The position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5+ years in related fields, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in product design or related engineering field; 5+ years preferred.
  • Suspension systems and/or component design experience strongly desired.
  • Proficiency with GD&T, FEA, FMEA, and tolerance analysis; CAD experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality suspension products from concept to prototyping to mass production.
  • Document design specifications using standard documentation practices.
  • Collaborate regularly with engineers and cross-functional project teams.
  • Facilitate problem resolution within design teams and with suppliers.
  • Mitigate design risks through proactive design analysis and risk management methodologies.
  • Provide input on and design for manufacturing processes.
