Job summary

Dexter is seeking a mechanically skilled Assembler - Specialty to build, test, and support Dex-Air suspension assemblies on a dedicated line. You will set up/operate presses and torque equipment, interpret engineering prints, and perform first-article inspections while supporting changeovers and basic troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years in manufacturing, and a strong mechanical aptitude with experience reading drawings and performing torque verification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in medium-duty assemblies.
• Ability to read/mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Familiarity with torque verification and quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Dex-Air suspension components to prints and specs.
• Operate and set up presses and torque/rotation equipment.
• Use calibrated torque tools, pneumatic tools, and hand tools safely.
• Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks; document results.
• Read mechanical drawings and process sheets to ensure accuracy.
• Support line start-up, ramp-up, and equipment changeovers.
