Job summary

Dexter is seeking an Assembler - Specialty to join a Dex-Air suspension line. You will build, test, and support medium-duty assemblies, interpret prints, set up/operate presses, perform first articles, and assist with changeovers.

This role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in manufacturing, and hands-on experience with mechanical tools, torque devices, and quality inspections;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ manufacturing experience or training.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with medium-duty assemblies.
• Experience reading mechanical prints and using torque tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Dex-Air suspension components to prints and specs.
• Set up/operate assembly presses and torque/rotational equipment.
• Perform in-process inspections and document results.
• Read mechanical drawings and process sheets accurately.
• Support line start-up, first articles, and ramp-up activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to meet throughput targets.
