Job summary

Hana Brands is hiring a Sushi Team Leader (STL) to oversee on-site kiosk operations, ensure schedule adherence, manage product orders, and maintain food safety standards. You will train Sushi Chefs, prepare ingredients, and uphold quality, portion sizes, and presentation while engaging customers and clients.

The STL will lead a team, monitor inventory, and ensure a clean, safe work environment consistent with company guidelines and values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in the food service industry; sushi rolling experience required.
• Excellent knife skills - cutting large fish for sashimi & nigiri and prepping vegetables for rolls & garnish.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Demonstrated professionalism in front of customers and respect for co-workers.
• Valid food handler’s license with expert knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work under pressure with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through operations and marketing execution.
• Control profit and loss by monitoring inventory and business analysis.
• Understand food waste and costs and their impact on kiosk goals.
• Train and develop the team to meet company goals.
• Adhere to training guides, create rolls per kiosk guidelines.
• Prepare various sushi dishes according to quality, portion size, and safety standards.
• Inspect quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish; report sub-standard quality.
• Demonstrate customer service through ongoing communication with customers and clients.
• Coach and evaluate employees on ways of working aligned to policy and expectations.
• Recruit talent and lead team members aligned to company culture.
• Create a clean work environment to prevent contamination.
