This position works closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently while creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced culinary environment, take pride in presentation, and provide great guest service, we would love to hear from you!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present sushi and other menu items according to established recipes, portioning, quality, and presentation standards.Complete guest orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service to guests seated at the sushi bar.Anticipate and respond to guest needs to help create a positive dining experience.Maintain clear communication with the Chef, kitchen, bar, dining room, and other team members.Respond quickly and appropriately to guest concerns or operational needs.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment, counters, tables, utensils, and surrounding work areas.Follow all established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.Maintain a professional, positive, and respectful demeanor when interacting with guests, fellow team members, management, and vendors.Accept coaching and performance feedback in a professional manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceMust be at least 19 years of age.High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.Previous sushi preparation, food preparation, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred.Customer-service focused with an outgoing, upbeat, and positive attitude.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to quality and presentation.Ability to remain professional and composed during busy or potentially stressful situations.Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.Must be able to work variable overtime when required.Work EnvironmentThis position is located within a casino and restaurant environment.
