Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a sushi prep team member to assist in preparing fresh, high-quality sushi rolls for in-store display and made-to-order requests. You will train alongside experienced sushi chefs in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include slicing fish, cutting vegetables, preparing sushi rice, assembling rolls, nigiri and sashimi, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness while following food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Experience in sushi preparation or culinary environment preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation.
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction.
