Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a sushi prep team member to assist in preparing fresh, high-quality sushi items. You will work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learning traditional techniques in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.

Your role includes ingredient preparation, rolling, and assisting with specialty requests while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Prior prep cook experience and culinary training are valued as part of our inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation for sushi or similar cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and multi-task.
• Comfort with following recipes and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other items per recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Work efficiently to ensure timely preparation and high-quality presentation.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with prepared items
