Job summary

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea in Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Sushi Line Cook to join our opening culinary team. You will prepare meals according to recipes, maintain high standards, and support a fast-paced kitchen as we launch in October 2026.

We seek someone with at least 2 years sushi line experience, solid knowledge of techniques and equipment, and a team-oriented attitude. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are required; benefits include paid sick time, health plans, 401k, and growth

Qualifications

• 2 years of sushi line cook experience.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work with the kitchen team to prepare and cook meals according to recipes and standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per Health Department standards.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented attractively.
• Assist with ingredient preparation for future meals.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to kitchen management.
• Handle and store food to prevent spoilage and waste.
• Adhere to portion control and minimize waste.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff as needed.
