Job summary

Wet Willie's in Gilroy, CA is seeking FULL & PART-TIME Sushi Chefs and Hot Food Cooks to join a fun, fast-paced kitchen and help create delicious, visually appealing dishes.

You'll prepare excellent meals for lunch and dinner, assist with meal planning with the general manager, review menus, and ensure food safety and sanitation. You’ll coordinate with other departments, assist with purchasing and inventory, and learn new menu items as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of culinary program or formal training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nutrition and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare excellent and delicious dishes for lunch and/or dinners.
• Meal planning in conjunction with general manager.
• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Ensure all food procedures are followed and safety standards met.
• Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary.
• Assist with purchase and inventory of food supply.
• Familiarize with new menu items and recipes.
