Position Summary: Ensure quality, consistency, and execution of all food items. Interacts with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite, courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests.
  2. Handle all allergy and dietary restrictions and modifications.
  3. Follow all orders from the POS system and directions from the expeditor accurately.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the station, kitchen, and venue.
  5. Follow supervisor’s instructions and support co-workers as a team player.
  6. Possess in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes and execute them to company standards.
  7. Maintain general knowledge of the venue.
  8. Comply with health and sanitation standards.
  9. Communicate product needs to chefs and support staff.
  10. Check cover counts, BEOs, and Fire Sheets as required.
  11. Properly set up station, perform opening/closing procedures, and stock supplies.
  12. Report equipment or furniture damage immediately.
  13. Participate in pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  14. Demonstrate a positive attitude and professionalism.
  15. Learn and share knowledge, lead by example.
  16. Support and assist team members as needed.
  17. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Tao Group Hospitality in-venue sushi cook training.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE

Previous sushi culinary experience preferred, especially in high-volume settings.

SKILLS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE

Ability to communicate effectively, move quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in noisy, hot, and busy environments. Extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Maintain a professional appearance and interact courteously with customers and team members. Confidentiality and stress management are essential.
