Hy-Vee is hiring a Sushi Clerk for the Hy-Chi department in a fast-paced environment focused on fresh product and customer service. You will help fill orders, prepare items, and keep the department running smoothly while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
You will greet customers, take orders, monitor stock, and collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive shopping experience. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with adherence to dress code and policies.

Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, Food Service Director, Hy-Chi Department Manager, Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager, and Service Managers
High school diploma or equivalent required; Food Safety Certification required; six months or more of similar or related experience preferred
Accountable and Reports to: Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, Food Service Director, Hy-Chi Department Manager, Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager, and Service Managers
High school diploma or equivalent required
Food Safety Certification required
Six months of similar or related experience preferred
This is a fast-paced role with significant activity throughout your shift. You may encounter continuous exposure to raw fish, flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes, with occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals or solvents. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $11.50 to $14.40 depending on experience.
