Hy-Vee is seeking a Sushi Chef for its Hy-Chi department to lead the sushi program, prep both packaged and made-to-order sushi, train the Sushi Clerk, and ensure top quality, freshness and presentation for customers.
The role requires passion for sushi, strong customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to food safety standards. High school diploma and food safety certification are required, with 1–3 years in meal prep preferred.

This is a fast-paced role with significant activity throughout your shift. You may encounter continuous exposure to raw fish, flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes, with occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals or solvents. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.
