Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a full-time Sushi Chef at Warner Cafe, 30 Hudson Yards, New York, NY. The role requires 2–3 years of sushi experience, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. The compensation is a fixed rate of $28.00 per hour, with online applications accepted only.

The Sushi Chef will prepare and present sushi and related foods, delivering exceptional dining and event experiences while maintaining strict food safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of sushi experience is required.
• Experience with knife skills and sushi prep, production and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present sushi and related products to customers.
• Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers.
• Demonstrate high-level knife skills and techniques for sushi prep, production and presentation.
• Store foods following food safety procedures and maintain sanitation.
• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work area and utensils in accordance with safety standards.
• Interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain menu items clearly.
• Stay aligned with peak production and service hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• We have an opening for a full time SUSHI CHEF position.
• Location: Warner Cafe - 30 Hudson Yards, 35th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and presents sushi and related food products to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers.
• Demonstrates high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation.
• Stores foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area; cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area; keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to assure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, safety, OSHA, production and merchandising requirements.
• Interacts with customers to enhance dining experience; demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and is able to accurately explain them to customers and associates.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
