Job summary

Hai Hospitality is seeking a Sushi Chef to join our team in Houston. You will learn and refine sushi techniques under our chef teams, acquaint yourself with the menu, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience at the sushi bar.

We value passion, teamwork, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with benefits and opportunities to grow within Hai Hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of sushi chef experience.
• Ability to communicate with guests and team.
• Understand safety guidelines and proper handling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
• Learn and perfect sushi techniques under our skilled Chef teams.
• Understand proper handling and waste reduction of product
• Interact with guests at the sushi bar; take orders, explain dishes, and cultivate an amazing experience for yourself and the guest
• Learn our various sushi stations and progress as your knowledge and skills grows
• Collaborate with our teams to create dishes that will be showcased on our specials page and core menu!
