HNH MANAGEMENT LLC in Phoenix is seeking a Sushi Chef to join Buck & Rider's new concept at Camelback. The role emphasizes precise sushi preparation, engaging with guests, and maintaining high-quality presentation.

You will work with a team to manage a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring freshness and safety while delivering outstanding guest experiences. Training and growth opportunities are available within the Buck & Rider group.

Qualifications

• Sushi preparation experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Strong communication and hospitality with guests.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays; Food Handler card or ability to obtain one.

POSITION: SUSHI CHEF

B&R Fish Shop is opening on Camelback.

Since 2015, Buck & Rider has flown fresh seafood into Phoenix every day from around the world. It was named No. 16 on Yelp's Top 20 Oyster Houses in the US and Canada, one of only three on the list not on the coast. B&R Fish Shop is where that seafood lands first. It's broken down here before it goes out to our restaurants, and the same product fills our retail case for guests to take home. We're part of Hi Noon Hospitality, named Best Restaurant Group by AZ Foothills Magazine in 2026. We hold a high bar, work hard and have fun doing it.

You care about the rice as much as the fish, and every roll that leaves your station looks as good as the last one. You can tell a great piece of fish by its color, texture and smell, and you know how to cut it to show it off. When guests watch you work, you're happy to talk them through what you're making. Whether you've spent years behind a sushi bar or you're eager to learn from people who have, you'd rather do it with a crew that has fun working hard.

THE JOB

• Prepare sushi, sashimi and specialty rolls with accuracy, consistency and care in presentation
• Handle fish to our quality standards, checking freshness and proper storage at every step
• Engage with guests while you work, sharing product knowledge in a friendly, professional way
• Work efficiently to keep pace with a high-volume service and support your teammates
• Collaborate with our culinary team and fishmongers to execute menu offerings and specials
• Keep your station clean, organized and safe at all times
• Follow health department standards, food safety guidelines and company sanitation policies
• Handle additional prep and kitchen duties as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Sushi preparation experience preferred; we're willing to train the right candidate
• Strong communication and hospitality skills, and comfort working in front of guests
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and scheduled holidays, and a valid Food Handler card or able to obtain one
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, stoop and reach, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, work safely around knives and kitchen equipment, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with reasonable accommodation as needed
