Responsibilities
- Craft high‑quality sushi using precise techniques and attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional hospitality and create memorable experiences for every guest.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
- Uphold safety, sanitation, and food‑handling standards at all times.
- Continuously learn and master new skills, techniques, and station responsibilities.
- Prepare and plate sushi according to recipes, menu orders, and special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked station throughout the shift.
- Execute fish‑cutting and rolling techniques with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Communicate with teammates and expo to prioritize orders and minimize remakes.
- Mentor and support teammates, providing constructive feedback and assistance.
- Represent Sora professionally, demonstrating poise, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of sushi culinary experience.
- Passionate, culinary‑minded individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team, embracing new challenges.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and accountability; experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Hours & Pay
- 20‑30 hours per week.
- Weekly pay.
- Shift times: 10:00 AM‑6:00 PM, 2:00 PM‑12:00 AM, or 6:00 PM‑3:00 AM.
