Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer - Survivability to join our team. The role involves Field Service Engineer duties with up to 50% travel to domestic and international sites; location options include Melbourne, FL, Palmdale, San Diego, or El Segundo, CA.

Required are advanced degrees in STEM with relevant experience and a current Top Secret clearance. Responsibilities include survivability analysis, testing, and collaboration with multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years related engineering experience; or Master’s with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year.
• LV4: Bachelor’s with 8 years; or Master’s with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years.
• Fundamental understanding of Survivability principles (RF/IR/Vis/Acoustic)
• Experience in Survivability sub-disciplines across RF/IR/Vis/Acoustic including design and test
• Current active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP clearance
• Hands-on experience with survivability design, analysis, testing and cross-discipline collaboration

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with designers and supportability engineers to ensure Survivability compliance.
• Develop and integrate technology to reduce system detectability.
• Design, plan and execute RCS/RF tests and deliver test reports.
• Analyze test results and recommend improvements on materials and capabilities.
• Coordinate with suppliers on design, delivery, and testing; write SOWs and track performance.
