Job summary

Alaska Aggregate Products, LLC seeks a Surveyor to measure and map land features for construction and mining projects across Alaska. The role supports project managers and engineering staff, records quantities for payments, and maintains detailed notes and sketches of surveyed work.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years surveying experience, and a valid driver’s license; a Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying and drone surveying knowledge are preferred.

Reports to: Project Manager

Job Title: Surveyor

Status: Full Time, Temporary

Normal Work Hours and Days: Normal work schedules are 8-12 hour days, 6 days a week. Days and hours vary based on project schedules, locations and workload. Mandatory overtime based on seasonal workload and remote work settings.

Summary

The Surveyor is responsible for surveying the earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mining or other purposes under the direction of the Senior Projects Manager and designated engineering staff. They are responsible for measurement, quantification, and record keeping of quantities for payment. Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe work performed. Surveyors are responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing his/her Surveying Equipment.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Drivers License
  • 2+ years surveying experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying
  • Knowledgeable with Drone Survey
