proHNS LLC in Sitka, AK is hiring a Survey Technician to perform field surveying for boundary, topographic, construction, and infrastructure projects, using GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.

You will collect accurate field measurements, assist with construction staking and as-built surveys, support data processing and mapping in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble software, and collaborate with engineers, surveyors, planners, and project managers across Southeast Alaska.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology or related field preferred.
• Previous surveying, construction, or outdoor field experience is a plus.
• Experience with GPS equipment, total stations, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar software is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and cold temperatures.
• Hike over variable terrain while carrying survey equipment and PPE weighing approximately 50 pounds.
• Walk or hike three or more miles per day.
• Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, climb over obstacles, and traverse uneven or difficult terrain.
• Work safely around active construction sites, roadways, waterways, and remote wilderness locations while following safety protocols.
• Travel by vehicle, ATV, boat, helicopter, or small aircraft as project needs require.
• Use hands and arms for operating survey instruments and handling equipment.
• Work extended hours in the field when necessary.
