Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Surveyor Party Chief to lead field survey crews on energy projects. You will supervise topographic, construction, boundary and as-built surveys, interpret plans, and ensure data accuracy while managing schedules and budgets on-site.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of land surveying experience, includes 2 years as Party Chief, proficiency with total stations, robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS and data collectors, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience.
• At least 2 years in a Party Chief role.
• Proficiency with total stations, robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a survey crew in performing a variety of surveying tasks including topographic, construction, boundary, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Interpret and implement survey plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform calculations and data analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey data.
• Maintain accurate field notes, records, and logs.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding project progress and any issues.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations on site.
• Train and mentor junior survey crew members.
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve field-related problems.
• Travel to project sites as required.
